Switches & Relays

Switches and relays are electronic components that are used to control the flow of electrical current in a circuit. A switch is a simple device that has two or more conductive contacts that can be opened or closed to allow or interrupt the flow of electrical current.  Switches are available in many different configurations, including toggle, push-button, rocker, and slide. A relay is an electrically operated switch that uses an electromagnet to open or close a circuit. Relays are used to control the flow of electrical current in a circuit remotely or automatically.
